Queensland - SE Calgary Real Estate


The boundaries of Queensland in Calgary are the Bow River to the east, Canyon Meadows Drive SE to the south, Bow Bottom Trail SE to the west and Queensland Circle SE to the north. Queensland was established in 1973 and by 2012 had a population of 4,771 persons. 1,894 dwellings make up the community and they range in price from $300,000 to $450,000.

Transit
Queensland is served by bus route 29, which stops for times within the community and has stations at Anderson, Canyon Meadows and Fish Creek-Lacombe. In addition, an LRT line runes parallel to the community with stations at the same three aforementioned locations. Compared to other Calgary communities regarding transit, Queensland is very well-connected. Below are the numbers of the busses that run route 29.

Parks & Recreation
Queensland has many small green spaces spread throughout the community but no full-fledged parks within its borders. However this is largely made up for by being located a large bank of the Bow River.

The largest shopping hub in the area is west along Anderson Road; namely, the Southcentre Mall and the South Centre Shopping Centre. Northern Reflections, Starbucks, Banana Republic, Knickers n' Lace, American Eagle Outfitters and more await. Residents of Queensland can also choose from Landmark Cinemas 10, Canyon Meadows (the nearest) and the Chinook Cinemas when looking to see a movie.
