Haysboro was founded by Harry Hays, a Canadian politician, in 1958. 3,637 homes make up the area, with nearly 7,000 residents living there as of 2012. The community is very small, only 2.9km, and is bordered by Macleod Trail SE to the east, Heritage Dr SW to the north, 14th St SW to the west and Southland Dr SW to the south. Transit
The CTrain has a Canyon Meadows station that is near the community. Bus route 35 also runs nearby.

Parks & Recreation
Located within Haysboro is the small Elbow Park, featuring a tennis court. Other nearby parks include South Glenmore Park, Oakwood Park and Tom Brook Athletic park. North is Chinook Park as well. Regarding amusement, the Heritage Park Historical Village is a short drive north along 14th Street SW. For residents looking for a more comprehensive outdoor experience, the Weaselhead Natural Environment Park is northwest, including pathways, hiking trails, mud flats for tour by canoe, excellent berry picking and more.
