Deer Run - SE Calgary Real Estate


Deer Run is a small SE Calgary community, an offshoot off the larger Deer Ridge, bordered by Canyon Meadows Drive to the north, Bow River to the south, Deer Run Boulevard to the east and Bow Bottom Trail to the west. The 2011 population was 5,390 persons living in 2,114 dwellings. Single-family homes, condos and townhomes range in price from approximately $400,000 to $550,000.

Transit
Deer Run is served by route 28 which runs down Canyon Meadows Drive, then Deer Run Boulevard, Deer Run Drive and finally 146 Avenue where the single stop is located within the community. The nearest station is Canyon Meadows and it also has a LRT line located in the same spot. Below are the busses that run route 28.

Parks & Recreation
In the northern part of Deer Run is an ample green space complete with the Deer Run Public Tennis Courts and Deer Run Community Centre.

Just south is the Shawnessy Village Shopping Center as well as the Boulevard Shopping Center, filled with stores like Pier 1 Imports, Chapters, Golf Town, Reitman's and more. Canyon Meadows Cinemas is the closest movie theater to Deer Ridge, though Landmark Cinemas 10 is available shortly south down Macleod Trail SE. Amusement centers nearby include Fun N' More, Laser Quest, The Shooting Edge and the Chinook Bowladrome.
