The community of West Hillhurst is bordered by 28th Street W to the west, the Bow River to the south, 18th Street W to the east and 9th/8th Avenue to the north. The community is bisected by Crowchild Trail NW. As of 2012 the population in West Hillhurst was 5,802 and the number of homes which made it up was 2,947. These homes range in price from $400,000 to over $1,000,000.

Bus route 405 serves the community of West Hillhurst.

Parks & Recreation
Two parks are located within the community of West Hillhurst: one which bears its name and the other which is Broadview Park. The former features two softball fields while the latter is simply an attractive green space. The southern portion of the community is, however, bordered by the Bow River, which provides ample alternate opportunities for outdoor recreation. North is the North Hill Shopping Centre
