Silver Springs is surrounded by many other beautiful communities such as Arbour Lake, Scenic Acres, Varsity Estates, Dalhousie and Ranchlands. The community is bordered by Nose Hill Drive to the west, Silver Springs GA to the east, the Bow River to the south and Crowchild Trail to the north. Silver Springs was founded in 1972 and construction was complete by 1980. 3,533 homes make up the community, containing a population of 8,933 as of 2012, and ranging in price from $400k to $900k approximately.

Parks & Recreation
Silver Springs is a great place for outdoor recreation. It contains both Silvercreek Park and Sarcee Park.The latter contains a baseball field, softball field, and four tennis courts. The Silvercreek Park is just green space, however, but many other parks surround the community.

Shoppers have a lot to choose from when they live in Silver Springs, such as the Market Mall, Northland Village Shopping Centre, West Bowness Shopping Centre and stores like Shoppers Drug Mart, Home Outfitters, Old Navy, Smart Set, Cleo and more.
