New Brighton is a large community in Southeast Calgary built by Carma Developers. In its center is a lake surrounded by a triad of green spaces, a very unique design. This community contains single-family and multi-family homes -- 3,247 of them -- ranging in price from approximately $400,000 to $650,000.

In 2012 the population of New Brighton was 8,303. The community is bordered by 130 Avenue to the north, McIvor Boulevard to the south, McIvor Boulevard to the east and 42 Street to the west.

Transit
The New Brighton Express, running route 151, serves the community. The nearest station is Douglas Glen.

Parks & Recreation
As far as outdoor recreation, New Brighton is quite self-sufficient given the size of its lake and surrounding green space. However the Bow River is less than a mile west for those looking to explore the region further. Regarding shopping the largest center is the Southpointe Shopping Centre, just north along Deerfoot Trail. Located within the community is the Southpaw Boxing Club.
