Transit
A CTrain line runs north east of Macleod Trail; residents use the SB Heritage LRT Station. The nearest bus route is 79, with the station at Bonaventure Drive and Heritage Drive SE.

Kingsland Park is located in the southeast corner of the community. It consists only of a baseball diamond in its center and a good portion of surrounding greenery.
Shortly down Heritage Drive SW to the west is the Heritage Park Historical Village, where residents can take a step back into Calgary's history from 1860-1950. In the northwestern corner of the community is the small but convenient Kingsland Shopping Centre, which has a Starbucks, UPS Store, Shoppers Drug Mart, Cobs Bread, family dentist, Merry Malda, veterinary clinic, Kingsland Shoe Repair, Family Chiropractic, physiotherapy provider, Laurelwood Flowers, and a tanning salon. Also just north is the Chinook Shopping Centre, so the community has a good mix of large and small places to shop.
