The boundaries of Hidden Valley include Shaganappi Trail to the west, Beddington Trail to the east, Country Hills Boulevard to the south and Stoney Trail to the north. The community was established in 1990 and by 2012 had a population of 11,799 people. In the middle of Hidden Valley is Hidden Ranch Park, which features one softball field, one baseball field and two tennis courts. Surrounding stops for outdoor recreational enthusiasts include Sandstone Park, Country Hills Park, Hamptons Park, Edgebrook Park and of course Nose Hill Park. The latter is one of the largest parks in Calgary, offering the best in flora and fauna viewing.
