The CTrain has a Canyon Meadows station that is near the community. Bus route 35 also runs nearby.

Regarding amusement, the Heritage Park Historical Village is a short drive north along 14th Street SW. For residents looking for a more comprehensive outdoor experience, the Weaselhead Natural Environment Park is northwest, including pathways, hiking trails, mud flats for tour by canoe, excellent berry picking and more.

There are a lot of shopping destinations to the east of Macleod Trail, such as the Southcentre Shopping Centre, Knickers n' Lace, The Original Basket Boutique, Walmart, Winners and Full Figure Fashions.
