Eau Claire Park lies to the west and Prince's Island Park to the north, across the Bow River. The latter is arguably the most unique park in Calgary, though it was highly damaged and is still damaged in parts due to the 2013 flood. Features include an on-leash park, the River Cafe, outdoor skating, cross country skiing, water fountains, washrooms, pathways, flower gardens, hiking trails, canoe access to the river, a playground, picnic areas and entertainment like events and festivals.
The most unique and largest shopping attraction in the community is the Eau Claire Market. It's meant to be the focal point of the community, boasting a variety of shops as well as boutiques and eateries, a multiplex and food court. However, although residents like the area, it is not attracting enough outside visitors so it is being torn down and remodeled.
