Capitol Hill was established in Calgary in 1948; 2,291 homes make up the area and just over 4,000 people live within them, as of 2012. Prices range from approximately $400,000 to $1.5M. The borders of the community stretch from 19th Street to the west to 10th Street to the east, and from Confederation Park to the north to 16th Avenue to the south.

Capitol Hill is served by bus route 414.

Parks & Recreation
Capitol Hill doesn't have much green space, but it's close to a lot of it like Banff Trail Park, its own Capitol Hill Park, Canmore Park, Saint Andrews Park, Queen Park and a few others farther out. Features of Canmore Park include picnic tables, benches, pathways, water fountains, washrooms, softball/baseball diamonds, tennis courts and a spray park.

Just south is the North Hill Shopping Centre, packed with stores Capitol Hill residents love to visit. For example, some stores, restaurants and boutiques include Stitches, Aldila Boutique, Stitches, Edo Japan, Shoppers Drug Mart, the Wig Warehouse and many more.
