Canyon Meadows was established in 1963. It is a charming and quaint community in southwest Calgary. Home prices are reasonable in Canyon Meadows, ranging from approximately $300,000 to $600,000. 3,191 residences make up the community, and in 2012 7,787 persons lived in them. The boundaries of the community are Anderson Road to the north, Canyon Meadows Drive to the south, Macleod Trail to the east and Elbow Drive to the west.

Transit
The CTrain has a Canyon Meadows station for the community. Bus route 35 also runs through the community with a Canyon Meadows terminal.

Parks & Recreation
The Canyon Meadows Golf Course is a highlight of the community; what's more, it's private and only specific applicants are selected. Also nearby is the Fish Creek Provincial Park. Things to do there include the Visitor Centre, Sikome Aquatic Facility, Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant, Annie's Bakery, Artisan Gardens, walking, hiking, biking, bird watching, swimming and more.

The Southcentre Mall is the closest and biggest shopping center in the area. The mall is two levels and has over 50 stores and restaurants such as womens apparel stores like J. Michaels, BCBGMAXAZRIA, Cleo, Blu's and more.
