Bankview is a small square community in Southwest Calgary. It's boundaries include 17 Avenue to the north, 14 St SW to the east, 26 Avenue to the south and 19 Street SW to the west. In 2012 the population living in 3,528 homes was 5,221 persons with mortgages ranging from $400,000 to $1,500,000 approximately.

Transit
Bus route 414 serves Bankview, with a terminal on Lions Park and a stop at 14 Street W and 19 Avenue South.

Parks & Recreation
The Bankview Community Association employs property managers to keep up the parks in the community, of which there are five, as well as the recreational facilities like tennis courts and playgrounds.

Shopping in the immediate area is mostly boutiques, rather than isolated malls or big shopping centers. Some of these boutiques include Firoz, Feisty Consignment, Dick & James, Blame Betty, Hype Fight Store, Leo Boutique, Toni Plus and Ooh La La Womens Wear.
