Altadore is a residential neighbourhood in Southwest Calgary which contains the Marda Loop, the most substantial outdoor shopping space in the city. While most of the homes used to be single-family dwellings, condominiums are sprouting up quickly as the popularity for the area has increased due to the popularity of the Marda Loop. The community is becoming more trendy, youthful and vibrant.

Altadore is bordered by 34 Avenue to the north, 50 Avenue to the south, 14 Street to the east and 20 Street to the west. A total of 2,484 dwellings make up the area, mostly single-dwelling still at this point, and 9,116 people lived within them as of 2012. Prices range from $550,000 to $2,400,000.

Bus route 107 serves Altadore, with a stop at 33 Avenue South and 20 Street West. The nearest terminal is on 54 Avenue.

Parks & Recreation
River Park is located just to the west of Altadore. In fact this close proximity of one of the best parks on Elbow River is why Altadore was named one of the best communities in Calgary.

The big shopping attraction in Altadore is the Marda Loop, of course. No big-box shopping here, it's all boutiques, shops, pubs and coffee houses. This isn't just the best shopping spot in the neighbourhood, its considered widely the best one in all of Calgary!
