Riverbend - SE Calgary Real Estate


Riverbend is a unique community that keeps nature in mind. How? It has its own park and even borders the large Carburn Park right alongside the Bow River on its western edge. Other borders of the community include Glenmore Trail to the north, 24 St SE to the east, and a tract of land just before Quarry Park Boulevard SE to the south.

In 2011 the population was 9,749. Homes have recently sold in the Riverbend community for prices ranging from approximately $350,000 to $800,000. Types of dwellings include condos, single-family homes and townhomes. Riverbend was established in 1982.

Transit
Route 36 winds its way through Riverbend, with five stops along the way. The Chinook terminal is located off Centre St. and listed below are the busses which run route 36.

Parks & Recreation
Riverbend is unique in that it contains within its boundaries Carburn Park. Most communities in Calgary only have small parks, not large natural area parks located along the Bow River. Also located within Riverbend is the Riverbend Park for those looking to not travel far for their outside fun.

Nearby stores include Home Outfitters, Walmart, Gap, Pier 1, Winners, the Southcentre Mall, Knickers n' Lace and Aritzia. The Shooting Edge, Calgary Lazerworks, Heritage Park Historical Society and Laser Quest provide close proximity amusement.
