The community of Deer Ridge is bordered by Canyon Meadows Dr SE to the north, Deer Run Boulevard to the east, 146 Avenue SE to the south and Bow Bottom Trail SE to the west. Just south is the Shawnessy Village Shopping Center as well as the Boulevard Shopping Center, filled with stores like Pier 1 Imports, Chapters, Golf Town, Reitman's and more. Canyon Meadows Cinemas is the closest movie theater to Deer Ridge, though Landmark Cinemas 10 is available shortly south down Macleod Trail SE. Amusement centers nearby include Fun N' More, Laser Quest, The Shooting Edge and the Chinook Bowladrome.
