Valley Ridge - NW Calgary Real Estate


Valley Ridge is a golfing community and is popular for its catering to the outdoors, such as views of the Bow River. It was founded in 1991 and consisted for a long time of just the original part of the community, but now Valley Pointe, the new construction, is in the process of being completed.

In 2012 the population of Valley Ridge was 5,013. 1,768 homes make up the community and they range in price form approximately $500,000 to over $1M. The borders of the community are: MD of Rocky View to the west, Stoney Trail to the east, 16th Avenue to the south and the Bow River to the north.

Bus routes 708 and 408 handle Valley Ridge.

Parks & Recreation
Half of the community of Valley Ridge is devoted to the Valley Ridge Golf Club. The club is public and semi-private, and designed to support more than those interested in golfing. Set inside a valley, the club has some of the most incredible views in Calgary. In addition the amenities were recently given a Consumer Reports award for best golf course.

There is a lot of shopping along Crowchild Trail NW, such as the shops, eateries and services at Crowchild Square Plaza and the Northland Village Centre, Shoppers Drug Mart, The Home Depot, Ed Williams Mens Wear and more.
