Inglewood - SE Calgary Real Estate


Welcome to Calgary's oldest neighborhood! Established it 1875 across the Elbow River from Fort Calgary, you can't get closer to history than this community. In 2012 the population was 3,564 and the community had a total of 2,241 residences. Home prices in the area range from approximately $300,000 to $850,000.

Transit
Between 8 Street and 15 Street SE in Inglewood there are bus-only lanes, which makes travel between these areas very quick and easy. These lanes were implemented due to high demand at the 9 Avenue SE connection.

Parks & Recreation
Inglewood contains more parks than most Calgary communities by far, including Pearce Estate Park, Unknown Park and Inglewood Wildlands Park, along with the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary. Combine this abundance of nature with its location on the Bow River and nature-lovers couldn't ask for more.

Inglewood is known for its shopping and arts. Here, it's not about shopping malls but rather shops -- boutiques. And given the history of the area, that's quite appropriate. Over 100 boutiques, eateries and shops dot Inglewood in fact. But that's hardly all there is to do in his quaint community. Fort Calgary Historic Park, the Bow River pathway, Inglewood Aquatic Centre and the Calgary Zoo provide entertainment and recreation year-round.
